“We glad that especially in recent times Polish-Moroccan relations have been developing on many different levels,” said MFA Undersecretary of State Artur Nowak-Far at a meeting with Mr Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah President of the Chamber of Advisors of the Parliament of Morocco.

Deputy chief of Poland’s diplomacy noted that Morocco is Poland’s major partner among the Arab and African countries, both politically and economically. He also added that Poland’s potential as a large European Union country could be very interesting for Morocco, which has intensified its relations with Brussels and EU Member States. Poland’s deputy foreign minister said he hoped for deeper ties between Morocco and the EU also thanks to instruments offered by the European Neighbourhood Policy.

During their meeting, Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah underlined the great importance that the Moroccan side attaches to its cooperation with Poland. He went on to stress that there exist possibilities for deepening economic contacts, not least because of the growing number of Polish tourists visiting Morocco. Mr Cheikh Biadillah also thanked Poland for supporting his country on the issue of signing a new Protocol to the Fisheries Partnership Agreement between Morocco and the European Union.
