“There is an excellent atmosphere for a political and economic dialogue between Poland and the United Arab Emirates. It’s a solid base to build on,” said the deputy chief of Polish diplomacy during his talks with Assistant Foreign Minister Mohammed Sharaf of the United Arab Emirates.

The deputy ministers met today during the 1st Polish-Emirati Economic Forum in Warsaw. They discussed economic cooperation and its prospects. “We consider the United Arab Emirates as a trading hub, a gate to the markets of the Middle East, Asia and Africa,” said Deputy Minister Maciej Lang.

The meeting provided an opportunity to familiarize Emirati investors with Poland’s investment possibilities, including its major infrastructure projects, and to inform them about plans to organize Warsaw Humanitarian Expo 2019.

The discussion also covered Polish preparations for EXPO 2020, which will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates. “We would like to showcase Polish economy at the Dubai Expo  through the prism of sustainable development and mobility,” said the Polish MFA deputy head.

The UAE remains one of Poland’s most important partners among the countries belonging to the Gulf Cooperation Council. It is an attractive place for Polish entrepreneurs to set up and run business and a popular tourist destination.
