Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski paid a working visit to Berlin on 28-29 November 2011. While at the German Society for Foreign Affairs, Minister Sikorski delivered a speech
“Poland and the Future of the European Union” dedicated to the Polish European policy and its vision of Europe. Minister Sikorski also held political consultations with the Foreign Ministers: Guido Westerwelle of Germany and Stavros Dimas of Greece.
The discussion with the German Foreign Minister covered the current European issues, particularly measures to counter the euro zone crisis, and international affairs, including preparations for the Bonn conference on Afghanistan on 5 December 2011. The Foreign Ministers also discussed the state of bilateral relations.
At the meeting with his Greek counterpart, Minister Sikorski discussed bilateral cooperation and the current European affairs, specificaly the EU enlargement and the EU Member States' measures to fight the financial crisis.
Additionally, the Polish, German and Greek Foreign Ministers participated in a conference “Power and Responsibility. The Role of Germany and Europe in a New World Order” organized by the Koerber Foundation.
